More Description

A modern day interpretation of The Parable of The Ten Virgins as found in Matthew, Chapter 25:1-13. It portrays distractions that can prevent us from filling our lamps with the oil of conversion: Judging, Noise, Extreme, Materialism, and Pride. It also portrays values young women are taught through the Gospel of Jesus Christ that help us carefully fill our lamps drop by drop: Divine Nature, Individual Worth and Knowledge, Good works, Choice and Accountability, Integrity, Faith & Virtue.

As daughters of Heavenly Father we are meant to shine. We are not ordinary. We are brilliant, beautiful and powerful. May this artwork be a reminder of the distractions and values of our time and remind us that today is the day to prepare.

“Wherefore, be faithful, praying always, having your lamps trimmed and burning, and oil with you, that you may be ready at the coming of the Bridegroom.” (D&C 33:17) Choose You This Day.

Choice & Accountability

Choice and Accountability is filled with gratitude and love for her Savior.
Like the Lamanites of old, she has experienced a mighty change of heart and has forsaken all her sins to know Him.  She is confident in and knows the power of the atonement.  She seeks after that which draws her closer to the Savior.
Alma 5:13  ...”a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and living God.  And behold, they were faithful until the end...”

Choice and Accountability sits to the right of Good Works. You can see love and confidence in her face. She is sitting down, which represents a humble heart. Her watch represents not procrastinating the day of repentance. Close to her heart is a picture of her risen Savior. She has claimed the blessings of the Atonement in her life and is free from the sins that once bound her. Choice and Accountability is full of love and hope for the future.
She has made mistakes, but has chosen repentance. She is full of confidence and gratitude for all she has and what she has been through, and is confident in her future.

I Love the story of Alma the younger (Mosiah 27:9).
He Remembered what his father had taught him about the Savior, that he could be forgiven of his many sins! What a great missionary he turned out to be.

She is like the Anti Lehi Nephis who has buried her weapons of war (sins). what could you bury? Alma 23:4–7, 16–17; 27:20–27

The whole mission of the church is to invite all to come unto Christ that they may have eternal life. This is constant through out the BOM. Some of the last words written in the book is Moroni's plea for readers to "come unto Christ and be perfected in him"
