More Description

A modern day interpretation of The Parable of The Ten Virgins as found in Matthew, Chapter 25:1-13. It portrays distractions that can prevent us from filling our lamps with the oil of conversion: Judging, Noise, Extreme, Materialism, and Pride. It also portrays values young women are taught through the Gospel of Jesus Christ that help us carefully fill our lamps drop by drop: Divine Nature, Individual Worth and Knowledge, Good works, Choice and Accountability, Integrity, Faith & Virtue.

As daughters of Heavenly Father we are meant to shine. We are not ordinary. We are brilliant, beautiful and powerful. May this artwork be a reminder of the distractions and values of our time and remind us that today is the day to prepare.

“Wherefore, be faithful, praying always, having your lamps trimmed and burning, and oil with you, that you may be ready at the coming of the Bridegroom.” (D&C 33:17) Choose You This Day.

Good Works

Good Works Sparkles.
She is a woman of Godly walk and countenance.  She radiates the pure love of Christ.  She recognizes the divine potential in others.  She is always serving.  Happiness is hers.
1 Corinthians 13  “Charity, a pure love, excels and exceeds almost all else.”
Good Works radiates the love of Christ. She is accepting of others and sees them as God sees them. Unlike the world that looks at others from the outside in, she sees others from the inside out. Like the Savior, she is always lifting others and making them feel special. Her body is in motion; she is constantly about her Father’s business. President Monson calls this “love in action.” He said, “There is a serious need for the charity that gives attention to those who are unnoticed, hope to those who are discouraged, aid to those who are afflicted. True charity is love in action” (“Charity Never Faileth,” Ensign, November 2010). She is constantly looking for the one. She is full of the pure love of Christ. She is kind and patient. She is the opposite of Judging. “She accepts people as they truly are.” (President Monson, Charity Never Faileth, Nov. 2010) A child of God. Happiness is hers.
The Savior was greatest example of this. He had nick names that he would call his friends.
Simon Peter—the rock
James and John—sons of thunder
John the beloved—beloved of Christ

Can you imagine how that made them feel about themselves to be called the Rock, sons of thunder, etc.?
